Reference Style:

IFHORIZONS employs the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition reference format. The citation system, footnotes, and bibliography of submitted manuscripts must strictly conform to APA 7 guidelines.

General Requirements:

• Page Layout: Margins should be 1 inch (2.54 cm) for all sides.
• Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format, using Times New Roman font.
• Manuscripts should be a between 5000 and 8500 words, excluding the extended English abstract, and should not exceed 30 pages.
• Title: The title must accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. It should be written in bold, capitalized initials (excluding conjunctions such as and, for, etc.), in 14-point font.
• Author Information: Author names should be centered and written in 12-point font.
• Additional Author Information: Academic title, university/institution, faculty/institute/college, department, email address, and ORCID ID should be given in a footnote, marked with an asterisk (*).
• Abstract: Each manuscript must include an abstract. Abstracts should not exceed 200 words, should use 10-point font, and should not include references, figures, or table numbers. Keywords (at least 3, maximum 5) should be listed on the line below the abstract.
• Text within the manuscript should be in Times New Roman font, 11-point size.
• Tables, Graphics, and Figures: Titles of tables, graphs, and figures should be written above the item, in 10-point bold font, left-aligned, numbered, and dotted (e.g., Table 1. References table). Only the first word should be capitalized.
• Figures and graphs should be high-resolution and suitable for black and white printing.
• Sources must be cited below the table/graphic/figure in italic, centered, 10-point font.
• Text inside tables must not exceed 10 -point font.
• Citations: Footnotes should be avoided unless necessary for explanatory purposes and must be automatically numbered. Endnotes are not used. In-text citations should conform to APA 7 principles. Direct quotations shorter than five lines should appear in quotation marks within the text. Quotations longer than five lines should be presented in block format, 10-point font, indented 1.5 cm from both margins, and single-spaced.
• General references should only include the author's last name and year (e.g., Jordan, 2024). References to specific pages should include page numbers (e.g., Cloud, 2025, p. 55; Smith, 2023, pp. 43–44).
